The Court of Cassation has upheld the decision of the previous appeal courts.
• The requests of the prosecution and civil claimants to increase Jock’s sentence to life and life without parole were rejected, however, the original verdict and sentence of 20 years in prison was upheld.
• When the verdict is compared with the defence appeals presented to all three courts it is apparent that yet again, the Court failed to specifically address the many points raised by Jock’s defence team on the way evidence was interpreted or the many breaches of basic legal and human rights.
